"We Are Church" Kickstarter Campaign Launched

Michael James Mette has launched a kickstarter.com campaign to fund his second album "We Are Church"  Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing fundraising platform.  

 

Fans who back this project can choose from an array of rewards including : a hand-made, hand-prayed rosary ($5 level), A signed pre-release copy of the album ($25) MJM performing an acoustic cover of the song of your choice deliverd via YouTube ($50), Dinner at the Mette house followed by an acoustic performance of the album ($100), A numbered limited edition, screen printed 16" X 20" painting of the Virgin Mary ($200) and more!

"Called to Glory" Music Video Released

David C. Smith (www.iconstudioproductions.com) and Michael James Mette have released the music video to the song "Called to Glory."  The video can be viewed in the music / video section and purchased at ncycthemesong.info.  The song was co-written by David C. Smith, Nick Cardilino, and Sean Clive and sung by Michael James Mette.  The song was chosen as the theme song to the 2011 National Catholic Youth Conference.  NCYC attracts more than 20,000 Catholic teens and will be held in Indianapolis, IN in November of 2011.  Fore more information, visit http://ncyc.nfcym.org/.

MJM To Appear on EWTN Christmas Special

Michael James Mette will be featured on EWTN's "Life On the Rock" Christmas special airing on December 23rd at 10:00 PM EST.  Michael will be performing his rendition of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."

MJM recording of "Called To Glory" chosen as 2011 NCYC Theme Song!

Michael's recording of David Smith's song "Called to Glory" was chosen as the theme song for the 2011 National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis.  The National Catholic Youth Conference is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones.  Approximately 20,000 teens attended the conference in 2009.  Michael will be shooting a music video for this song in October for a forthcoming release.  You can listen to both the "rock" version and the "ballad" version at http://IconStudioProductions.com

MJM To appear on "Life On the Rock"

On Thursday, June 24th at 7:00 PM CST, MJM will appear with Greg Robeson on EWTN's "Life on the Rock."  The show will feature live performances of Always What I Need, Know Love Serve, and This is our Lamb  from my Always What I Need album.  We will be discussing the state of Catholic Youth Ministry and ways to achieve greatness in a "culture of death."  Be sure to check your local listing or watch it streaming online!  It promises to be a great show!
