Know Love Serve Retreat

The “Know Love Serve” retreat uses Michael’s catchy song to break open Catechism verse 1721, “God put us in the world to know, to love, and to serve him, and so to come to paradise.”  Using this framework allows each retreat experience to be customized to meet the needs of the particular church or school.  This structure allows for answers on essential questions such as the purpose of life, the existence of God, and His love for mankind.  It also provides the flexibility to discuss more pragmatic topics such as bullying, self-esteem, chastity, self-knowledge, and service.  “Know Love Serve” is easily adapted to fit intimate small groups and large assemblies and has been used for day-long class retreats, Confirmation preparation, and youth rallies.

Here is the general outline:

Know God

Knowing God is the first step to having a relationship with him.  A relationship with God is foundational for the Christian life and involves more than just knowing facts about God.  To know God, we must spend time with Him in prayer.  Teens will leave this session with a firmer understanding of the need for prayer in their life.  (Topics can include self-awareness, bullying, & judging others)

Love God

Loving God is the natural reaction to God’s love of us.  This session deals with Man’s response to God’s invitation.  Teens will leave this session with a greater understanding of human love being a reflection of God’s infinite love for us.  (Topics can include chastity, cultural lies, & distortions of love)

Serve God

Service is the expression of a loving relationship with God.  Teens will leave this session with a firmer understanding of their unique gifts and talents.  (Topics include self-esteem, service, and participation in the body of Christ)

Content is designed for high school age, but is also appropriate for middle school and young adults.  Format and pricing varies based on needs and environment.  “Know Love Serve” can be presented solely by Michael, and / or with a trained retreat team including a band.  An average retreat ranges from $1,000 – $1,500 dollars for a weekday retreat and $1,500 – 2,000 for a weekend date.  For more information including availability and pricing, please contact Michael using the form below.
