Things I Learn From my Kids

01/02/2012

A few months ago I was telling my daughter, Charity how much I loved her.  At least, that was the goal.  As I sat at my barstool drinking my morning coffee, I was struck by the simple innocence she has so naturally.  She was twirling and pretending to be a dancer of some kind and  I wanted to let her know how beautiful and loved she is.  So I asked her to come and sit on my lap so I could tell her how much I love her.

"Charity," I started off, "do you know what?"

Vegas

I have now spent over 48 hours in Vegas.  It is one of the 50% of cities on this tour that I've never visited before.  It's an interesting place for a couple of reasons:

1)  It is a very new city, being mostly built in the past 50 years.

Our God is Greater

Thaddeus and I kicked off our 2nd annual "Forty Days of Praise" tour this past Sunday.  In 3 days, we've traveled through 10 states.  We've been driving hard to get out to Tuscon, AZ to play a few dates with our friends in the Emmaus Band.  I've been on the road for only a half a week now, but I have to say that one of the things that always gets me about a cross-country road trip is the grandeur of God's creation.  Thaddeus, who always does a great job of documenting things, has been taking some pictures.
