The Master Gardener

05/19/2010

I have tried to plant a garden several times. Every time it has failed miserably. I’m a bad gardener and I think it’s because of my extreme personality. It seems that I try to force things that aren’t quite ready and working in short spurts. I push things hard even before they’re ready. I easily loose focus after the initial excitement passes and and start working on other projects at which time, the garden invariably falls into disrepair. Gardening is a slow process of cultivation.

A Spiritual Workout

Rest In Peace, Grandma

09/28/2009

A week ago I got a call from my mother.  My grandma had passed away.  There was a moment of silence.  It was not unexpected, but then one can never really be prepared for the death of a family member.  It was especially challenging because this was the first grandparent of mine to pass away.
