Studio A project - Tangent - SEPTIC

As the construction of Studio A slowed to a strong halt in December, we decided to take a closer look at the project. Michael really wanted add some sound-proofing and extra wiring and take his time to make sure that it was fully functioning as a studio and just just a home addition. Spring was quickly approaching, and we started to get a septic smell in our basement.

We decided to put the studio project on hold in order to install a new septic system in our back yard. This is not a glamorous part of him ownership. When we bought the house as a short-sale, we had the understanding that the septic was in poor service. We had a couple of people give us ballpark estimates and they said that they could be there with 2 weeks notice when the time came. Now, it seemed that everyone had a 2 month waiting list.

We got a company to come out, but since we had added 2 extra bedrooms in the basement, we needed a much larger system that originally planned. We asked Darrel to have the install completed before we returned from our Florida tour. He agreed, but it was so muddy in early February, that our back yard was left a lumpy, soppy mess. He promised to return in a few months when things dry up to get us a more level ground that would grow grass.
