After serving in the US Air Force, Michael James Mette's life changed completely. He studied Theology and for 10 years dedicated himself to speak to youth about God. During that time, he discovered that he could share the Gospel through one of his greatest passions: music.
In 2010, he released his first record, "Always what I need”, inviting people to believe in the Providence of God.
His latest album, "Bring forth the light” was released in 2012. It reflects a more mature vision of the Catholic faith. Singing to the rhythm of an electric guitar, Michael James Mette sings about love, life and eternity.
Now he travels the USA from scene to scene. But before he goes he needs the approval from a special jury.
"Mette family, on the count of three here's what we're going to do: we're going to put our hand out. And you have to decide whether thumbs up the album is good, or thumbs down the album is bad. Ok? ON the count of three: So start out like this on the count of three: one, two, three. Ok, good, good. That was a close one!”
Another one of the efforts of Michael James Mette is to speak about God to youth. He goes to colleges and institutes to speak about the presence of God in the world through catchy tunes.
His latest project is not related to music, but rather with his personal life. He is co-authoring a book along with his wife in which they recount how they have taken the most important decisions in their life.
